For this task we explore about the Chinese Lantern Festival. We learn about what the Chinese lantern festival is, popular food the eat during the celebration, activity’s they do, and what colours do the lanterns have and what they mean. The Chinese lantern festival is a celebration where it marks the beggining of a new year and the ending of winter season. The event starts in January 21 – February 20. The Festival shows respect to our past ansestors and wards of evil sprits and welcomes good sprits. During the festival they do a populater dance know as the lion or Dragon dance.
I enjoyed this activity because I learned more about the Chinese lantern festival.
