LI: to calculate the mean, median, mode and range of data.

For this activity we learnt how to calculate the mean, median, mode and range of data. The mean is the average number of data. To find the mean you add up all the numbers and divide it by how many numbers there are. The answer to the division problem is your answer. Median is the middle value of the data. To find the median we order the numbers smallest to biggest to find the number in the middle. If there is 2 numbers then you add them up and divide them by two. The mode is the number that shows the most. You count all the numbers to show the most in the data. If there are no numbers that show the most then you write N/A. Range is to subtract the highest by the lowest number in the data. To find it you find the biggest number and subtract it by the smallest number to find the range.

I found this activity interesting because I learnt how to find the mean, median, mode, and range of data.

LI: to calculate the quotient of decimal numbers using short division.

For this task we learnt how to divide with decimals. Decimal division is a way to divide decimals into equal groups. If the divisor has a decimal then we multiply that number by 10 to make it into a whole number. For example if your divisor is 0.9 then you multiply it by 10 and that number will turn into 9. If you multiply the divisor by 10 then we multiply the dividend by 10. For example if your dividend is 3.6 then you multiply that by 10 and the number will turn into 36. You divide 9/36 and the answer equals to 4.

I found this activity interesting because decimal division and fractions have a connection in the phrase whatever you do to the divisor you do to the dividend which is the same as whatever you do to the numerator you do to the denominator.

I learned how to tell temperature by using degrees celsiuc

First I learned the hot temperature and the cold temperature which is the 100 degree celcius and 0 degree celcius.

Next I did a template of addition and subtraction. It adds when it rises up and it falls when its going down.

Lastly I did a DLO, explaning what is the hottest place on earth and the coldest place on earth.

I enjoyed completing the DLO. I did well on add and subtract. I need to improve finding more intresting information.
