Prior Knowledge

I learned about prior knowledge.

First we went through a text called South Pacific.

Next we thought about what the text will be about by looking at the cover of the book.

Lastly we we talked about prior knowledge. We had to comment what we think about the text. For example: You can drum with your hands, or with sticks, different kinds of drums.

I enjoyed this task because it makes me understand more of what I know about drums. I need to improve on my prior knowledge about South Pacific drum. I did well on my prior knowledge about drum beats.

 

Simple Sentence

I learn how to write simple sentence.

First I revised simple, continuse, and perfect. We also revised our past, present, and future.

Next we learned simple sentence are. Simple sentence has a subject, a verb, and a object. Jack will climb the hill. It is simple future becuase it has the word will.

Lastly we wrote 3 simple sentence. They are simple past, simple present, and simple future.

I enjoyed on making simple sentence.

I did well on simple sentence like subject, verb, and object.

I need to improve on figuring out the simple present sentence.

 

The boats arrived back home. [Simple, Past]

The kids will go to the farm [Simple, Future]

The cars arrive at the city. [Simple, Present]

Identify Characteristic

We learnt how to identify different characteristics of a team member.

First we talked about different characteristics and what characteristics are. A characteristic is a particular person, place or thing.

Next we drew the outline of a body and found some good characteristic words and bad characteristic words and wrote them all over the page. The good characteristics go inside of the outline of the body. But the bad characteristics go on the outside of the body.

Then we played a game as a team. We needed the ball to stay in the air with our hands and tap it up in the air trying to not make it fall down on the floor. We had to work together and we also found out different characteristics that each of us had. We played 3 rounds and moved to the next round.

After the next round, We changed it up a bit. We couldn’t touch the ball with our hands but we had to keep it in the air. We came up with putting our feet on the ground and placed the ball in the middle of our legs so it would not fall.

Lastly, we could not use our hands and we needed to stand up. We also had to move 5 times North, West, East, and South. We used our back and it did not work.

We enjoyed this activity because I learnt different characteristics. We need to improve on communicating with each other. We did well on writing characteristics.

Quatrefoil

I learned how to make a quatrefoil.

First I learned how to make the shape of the quartrefoil.

Next I came up with a feeling to make the design of quatrefoil of that feeling. My feeling that I choose is angry.

Then I came up with some design that relates with angry.

Lastly I added some other details to fill up the left over space

I enjoyed making the quatrefoil shape and need to improve on making the lines even.

Number Bonds

I practised number bonds up to 10s, 100s, and 1000.

First I played this game called around the world 10 – 1000. For example if the person says 300 + 700 and you have to answer the the question untill someone goes and beat everyone in the circle.

Next I got some cubes and represent the number bonds out of 10 – 1000 and took pictures of them.

Lastly I made 3 google draws and putted all of the pictures in the google draw of 10s, 100s, and 100s.

I enjoyed taking the pictures.

I did well on up to 100 number bonds.

I need to improve on number bonds up to 1000.

Verb Tense

I learned what the meaning of perfect, continuous, simple in verb tense.

First I made up our own sentence for perfect, continuous and simple. The perfect sentence was Bethany brought chocolate to school. The continuous sentense is Alexxa is still listening to the teacher. The simple sentence was Densyn runs every year.

Next we took a picture to match with each sentence of the verb tense.

Lastly we putted the picture on the google draw with the sentence that they match with.

I enjoy acting the photos.

I did well on make a verb tense sentence on continuous.

I need to improve on writing the verb sentence on perfect and simple.

 

 

 

Summarising

I learned how to do summarising.

First I read the first page.

Next I found some keywords and wrote them down in the comments.

Then I wrote some of the keywords the the what, when, where, who, why and how. I also wrote a 15 word summary.

Lastly we continued what we were doing 4 times.

I enjoyed writing the summary.

I did well on finding the keyword.

I think I need to improve on writing the what, when, where, who, why, and how.

SSR Selfie

I completed this reading activity.

The story is about that Michael broke mums favourite vase and mum got angry at Michael. Michael knew that mum was going to get more angry at him so Michael avoided mum for the day. Michael was glad that his friend Elvis came back from his holiday. He came to the fence and said hi to Elvis. Elvis said hi back and but Michal saw a shiny thing behind Elvias back. Michael asked what it was and Elvis said it was a metal detector. Elvis said that Michael could borrow the metal detector.

I enjoy this book that I read but I  am looking forward to red more of this book.

 

Number sequence

I learned about number sequence.

First I opened up the number generator and set  the number up to 1000.

Next I press the button and showed a random number 100 – 10000. For example when I press the button the number that appeared is 3067

Then I worte the number before and after. For example the number before 3067 is 3066 and the number after is 3068.

Lastly I filmed a video saying before and after of that number repeting 5 times with different numbers.

I think I liked this activity because it helped me learn how to count before and after.

SSR Selfie

I read a book about guts.

The story was about Raina having a tummy ache and she did not know what was causing the tummy ache. Her mother called a therapy to see what was happening. One person named Michelle always called Raina a poopy diaper baby. Raina like cheese but she did not know that the cheese was causing it. Her mother eats artichokes and told her that might stop Raina tummy ache. When she at the artichokes she feel great but she still had to the therapy to see if she was still okay.

I enjoyed this activity because I helped me read better.
